The stage just got bigger.
The Sport Fishing Championship (SFC) has officially announced the launch of the Carrier Cup—one of the most unique and meaningful events of the 2026 season.
Set to take place May 29–31 in Charleston, South Carolina, the event will be hosted aboard the historic USS Yorktown, transforming one of America’s most iconic naval vessels into the center of professional sportfishing competition.
More than just a tournament stop, the Carrier Cup is designed to bring together competition, community, and history. The three-day event will feature live broadcasts, a public fan festival, and a private concert, creating an experience that extends far beyond the water.
Held in celebration of the United States’ 250th Anniversary, the event will also serve as a tribute to active and retired military service members, honoring their role and legacy in a setting that reflects the country’s history.
For teams competing in the Atlantic Division, this stop represents more than just another tournament—it’s a moment. A stage unlike any other, where performance meets history.
As the Rhode Island Breakers prepare for their inaugural season, Charleston now stands out as one of the most anticipated stops on the schedule.
This isn’t just competition.
This is something bigger.
