The RI Breakers AC are heading back to Ocean City.
After a great week on the water at the White Marlin Open, the crew and El Bendido are getting ready to return to Maryland for the Sport Fishing Championship Atlantic Division Championship, August 21–23.
It’s the final stop on the Atlantic Division regular-season schedule, and we’re looking forward to getting back offshore and finishing our first SFC season the same way we started it — together, competing and looking for the next big bite.
Back to Ocean City
There won’t be much time between trips to Ocean City this August, and we’re perfectly fine with that.
Our week at the White Marlin Open gave the crew valuable time back on the water. El Bendido performed great following her recent work and upgrades, we added a marlin release to the books, and most importantly, the team got back into its rhythm.
Now, we get to do it again.
This time, we’ll be returning as the RI Breakers for the final Atlantic Division event of the 2026 SFC regular season.
The Atlantic Division Championship will bring the SFC fleet to Sunset Marina in Ocean City for three days of competition and another opportunity to go head-to-head with some of the best teams in the sport.
Ready for the Final SFC Stop
Our inaugural season as the Rhode Island Breakers has already taken us from Key West to the Bahamas, Charleston and throughout the Northeast.
Every stop has brought something different.
New waters. New challenges. Great fishing. Tough fishing. Long runs. Great people. And plenty of lessons along the way.
That's part of what made this first season so important to us.
We entered the SFC ready to compete, but also knowing we were beginning something bigger. Every tournament has helped shape the identity of this team and given us another opportunity to represent Rhode Island on one of the biggest stages in competitive sportfishing.
There’s still one more tournament ahead of us.

Tournament fishing is unpredictable, and that's exactly why we love it.
Once lines go in, all it takes is one opportunity to change the entire day.
We're heading into the Atlantic Division Championship focused on making the most of every one of those opportunities.
The boat is ready. The crew is ready. And after getting back on the water in Ocean City for the White Marlin Open, we're looking forward to turning around and doing it all over again.
